"There’s really barely any evidence that shows that [AI therapy chatbots] are in fact effective...We do not have longitudinal studies that look at people with diagnosis of mental disorders who did not have any other kind of help, who used these chatbots, and can say that they benefited from these.”

Just finished the busiest, all hands on deck teaching week of the year. It went so well, felt super connected to all the 180 first year med students and taught Bioethics in the way I like doing it: lots of philosophy of science, films, first person stories, and lectures by brilliant colleagues.
