Short thread on what it's been like to convert to Linux for anyone who is considering it. My PC use cases are broad, so I'm hoping that maybe this will help someone who is considering switching! I'll go through distro picking, software, conversion, and day to day stuff.

Been off of content for a couple months now due to irl stuff. Finally I'll be back soon! Moved in to the new place, and finishing up my new layout. This goes to both Twitch and YT. Stay Tuned!

Just to add to this, I use streamer.bot with Warudo. However, I've also used it with a custom unreal app I made before, and it connects with other programs. This is how my streams run and I highly recommend it. If anyone is on Linux like me I am also able to use it in Wine quite easily.

Pro Tip: If you move from Windows to Linux, please actually backup your stuff before deleting your windows files. Nothing like losing all your redeems because you thought you hit export, but never did...... Well, it was an excuse to make my code cleaner at least.

With the state of windows being... Windows. Anyone want some guides on converting your streaming setup to Linux? I haven't properly gone live yet, but that's due to a major project I want to complete first. I've got all my vtubing, OBS, and bot working properly and took some notes I can share.

Switched over to Linux, and been amazed at how stable it's been. I daily drove Linux years ago in college, but it feels great to use now. Honestly, probably won't ever go back.

Sorry I've been down for awhile. Working on getting back to stream and YT. Had a lot happen and my camera bricking didn't help. Finally decided to redo my Overlay as well, so going to come back with some new stuff.

Well, my camera failed a firmware update and is completely bricked. So, I guess no streams for a bit. Gonna have to figure out what to do.

Art is just so fucking cool. I love scrolling my feed here and seeing piece after piece of what feels like the true universal language of humanity. Even if we don't share the same words you can draw a picture of something that matters to you and I will feel it in some way. I love that connection.
