July is disability pride month. Right now in the US, along with many other things, disability services and health care are under attack. Please take the month of July to educate yourself on what it is like for people who live with disability and uplift disabled stories.

The religious aspect of The Unworthy was both horrifying and intriguing. Bazterrica did an excellent job of mixing Catholic and new-age spiritual ideals into something incredibly sinister. There is an overwhelming feeling of rot and decay with interspersed moments of light and beauty.

The Long Walk remains my favorite book of all time for many reasons but Garraty and McVries’ relationship is a huge one. I am looking forward to the movie release, but am concerned about how their relationship will be portrayed. Still, I’m holding out hope.
