Same. I suspect I must be in the very top end at roughly one (or more) books per day and my eye reading speed is up there with you (I reread on audio to savor things sometimes because it's so much slower). I also don't steal books.

My mum had been planning a cross country move and had pared her belongings down a LOT before she died (the gallow's humor joke is that mum was going to move to live near me but she died instead), and also had zero expectations we keep anything we didn't want.

Every time you share a photo that includes this table, my heart fills with weird nostalgic joy that you're still photographing things on this table all these years and miles since I first started reading your blog an unspeakable number of years ago.

Nothing to be sorry about, new covers for older stuff is still awesome.

It's SABLE! No T. Coined by wendyknits in the aughts, in the high heyday of knit blogging. I am there with you on multiple stashes.

mine cost about twice that, about a decade later than your ring (i think), and technically I bought it, and also it was definitely not considered expensive at the time (which, wut. such a scam!)

our household probably did at one point, but that was back when there was a lot of family, many of whom are dead now.

When my dad was a kid, he broke a pair of glasses on the way home from picking them up. Apparently Grammie was PISSED.

i think that it's better than the alternative, which is that the kids are now in their late 20s and Linda and Bob are nearing 60. It definitely bothers me less in animated shows than it does in live action where people are visibly aging.

Bacon, cheese, and some kind of a sauce. I don't know what kind of cheese or sauce, and I never ate it, because frankly, I like bread?

i went to this flea market thing that happens here and found a vinyl copy of the soundtrack to that movie, which i obviously bought, and then spent the rest of the day having people go "holy crap, that's a great movie" when they saw me carrying it.

my spouse who is 7-8" taller than I am has a shorter inseam than I do. His mom used to drive a ford explorer and when he drove it, he would have to tilt his head to the side because there was not enough space between the seat and the ceiling for him.

I honestly started trying to seek out current pop music because so many of these women are brilliant. (Fell into a mild obsession with Irish pop country singer CMAT)

It isn't a solution to your problem, but I'm open if you've got questions. Also sometimes gather here has online classes, which are, at least, live? I feel like shops owned by folks roughly our age are better about having weekend and evening classes, but shit's weird sometimes.
