I can’t do Last Week Tonight anymore. I care very deeply about John Oliver’s well-being and our idiocy is torturing him. I can’t continue to watch the pain and disappointment in this sweet man’s eyes.

@nytimes.com they’re not, for the love of your copy and FC departments please fix this language. It’s not a payout if you’re expected to work the next eight months and then depart without severance. It’s literally just deferred shitcanning.

This article is fascinating for a lot of reasons but the main thing I’ve gotten from it is that I’m definitely not querying my fantasy wip manuscript as romantasy because the tropes are slim to nil
