At a wedding right now considering the following: without a microscope and a degree, it's very hard to tell if a diamond was created through natural processes or in a lab. Lab-grown diamonds are just significantly cheaper and don't rely on exploited labor (as of now). Which makes more sense?

No! Entropy must trend towards greater disorganization and "chaos" in closed systems. On Earth, we have constant energy exchanges between celestial objects and from the planet.
