The neon signs are all gone and it doesn't look quite the same anymore, but here's the bar and cul-de-sac from Johnnie To's Throw Down.

Malazan minor spoilers

Finished Book 1 - Pale from Gardens of the Moon!

Even with the massive battle sequence, I think I enjoyed the second half of this arc more. The focus shift to the Bridgeburners was great, and the inner turmoil of our cast so far is on full display ⬇️

Pushpa: The Rise is incredible blockbuster filmmaking, each frame so vibrant and bursting with energy. Allu Arjun's star presence is breathtaking, and at times, it's hard to fight back the urge to jump out of your seat. The most I've enjoyed a mass spectacle in a while. Can't wait for part 2

The most watched actor stat is the best on Letterboxd, always filled with random character actors you don't intend to be there but always make you happy when they show up

I wrote about Payal Kapadia's ALL WE IMAGINE AS LIGHT, one of the most beautiful new movies you'll see this year. Opens today in Los Angeles and New York: www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...
The Gorgeous Mumbai Rhapsody of “All We Imagine as Light”
Payal Kapadia’s drama of women’s solidarity, a major prize-winner at Cannes, pays radiant homage to a city and its people.

I started Malazan: Book of the Fallen and am enjoying it a good deal, pretty encouraged by the fact that it progressively is getting better with each chapter

Emilia Perez is hilarious, the kind of movie that reaffirms how ridiculous it is that film twitter will not watch a single mainstream Indian film, instead they'll throw all their attention onto something like this and then go on Twitter and call musicals dead and get a billion likes
