We miss our recently passed Shorty. My spouse convinced me to adopt two new kittens - Ebony and Ivory. Despite being abused and blinded in one eye, Ebony (and Ivory too) loves human contact.

Our last hour with Stubby, an American bobtail. He loved to play fetch; he’d play until his little heart would burst if we let him. He slept at my wife’s head & rushed to greet us if we were out. We and his brother, Shorty, will dearly miss him.

We’re heartbroken. 17 YO Stubby appears to be close to the end. Still eating, drinking & using his litter box but he’s lost weight & his walk is unstable & very slow. He no longer sleeps at my wife’s head. He used to love to play fetch. Now he stays in his condo. It’s such a hard decision to make.

@specialkhersoncat.bsky.social posts many riveting videos showing how real and deadly putin’s war is. It’s been a long time since I served, the conduct of war has changed significantly. In the end, it’s still as frightening as ever, maybe more so.
Cheap military drones are everywhere now. From Ukraine to Southeast Asia, they’ve become part of modern war. Thailand dropping grenades on Cambodian targets shows just how fast this tech is spreading.

I visited a Nazi death camp; truly a life altering experience. In the adjacent museum, every single picture of Hitler is scratched over, marked up and spit on. While we can’t spit on them, I’d prefer we do the same to trump’s images on BlueSky.
