Since we're unfortunately getting an influx of fake/malicious accounts pouring into this site now....

I think it might be important to give a few things to look out for and keep in mind when spotting FAKE accounts since things on Bluesky are **SLIGHTLY** different than on Twitter
SPOTTING FAKE ACCOUNTS ON BSKY (An infographic) BLUESKY ALLOWS YOU TO CHANGE YOUR HANDLE TO A NEW DOMAIN AT ANY GIVEN TIME Two pictures of the same fake throne user one with a handle of j0inthrone and one jointhronee (.bsky.social) side by side to show who we're talking about These "TWO" accounts are the same exact accounts only a week apart They changed their handle to prevent people from finding and blocking them BUT... It is becoming more normalized such that brands usually use their actual website's URL as their handle SO if it's a "brand", and looks suspicious; check the domain/handle! GOTCHA #2 THE POSITIONING OF FOLLOWS & FOLLOWERS ARE SWAPPED ON BLUESKY COMPARED TO TWITTER Followers on LEFT now Following on RIGHT now GOTCHA #3 GENERAL CYBERSECURITY THINGS. 1) Pay attention to misspellings in usernames 2) Don't click any unknown links in someone's bio t.co links are what Twitter uses to shorten links on their platform. Some people just copy and pasted their bios from Twitter to their Bluesky bios, this also copied the t.co linkage. This means, in turn, t.co links can redirect to ANY site. Don't always trust them, they DON'T go to Twitter Included are two more screenshots showing who the fake accounts are and a screenshot of who the real Throne account is (throne.com)
