It's weird that Looking for Alaska is the second-most banned book in the U.S., and mostly challenged by evangelical Christians, because the novel is about Radical Hope and how forgiveness is available to all people at all times, which are Christian concepts I wrote about because I'm a Christian.

Struggling to explain to my stepfather how a party that votes against giving baby formula to babies during a baby formula shortage is not pro life. He’s genuinely a sensible man (or covert narcissist 🫠), and can have a productive conversation. Just lacks some critical thinking skills. Any advice?

I recently started attending services at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh. And let me tell you…if community is what you seek without all the Heaven/hell and sin hogwash…UU is absolutely the way to go. Feels good.
