It's a very niche category, but I'd put this album up there with Jayo Felony's 1998 Def Jam release as albums/rappers who only got ONE major label release and knocked it out of the park. If y'all got any others from this era, I'm all ears.

Nothing terribly surprising here. Bleday's fall from grace remains the most confounding thing I've seen in recent #athletics history. Susac's fate was sealed when A's re-signed backup Austin Wynns so quick. Wouldn't be surprised to see someone take a flier on a backup catcher with 1st round pedigree

IIRC Sports Illustrated sent @jeffpearlman.bsky.social to do a cover story on 2001 #athletics, but they started 8-18 and, I think it was scrapped? Heard manager Art Howe was *pissed* about some of the pics/foolishness that would’ve accompanied the story (like this one)? Hope I’m not misremembering
