I write about video game stuffs.
I don't know what it is about the Game Awards but the vibe of that show has always felt off to me.

It feels less like a celebration of games and the people making them, but more like a recruiting ad from AAA publishers.

Excited that we get not one but TWO Tomb Raider games in the next 2 years.

Control: Resonant is also looking real good, though I'm confused if this is supposed to be Control 2 or just a side game. In any case, I'm always looking forward to whatever Remedy have cooked up.

Even though Sayonara Wild Hearts came out in 2019, I still gush about it from time to time to people that I know.

It is like a playable pop album accompanied by some of the most imaginative visuals about a very relatable and human experience of heartache and self-love.

SCOOP: For the last two years, Microsoft has pushed Xbox to hit profit margins of 30%, an ambitious target that's far higher than the industry average.

This chase for profit has led Xbox to raise prices, cut thousands of jobs, and rethink everything.

The new album by Pool Kids is fucking amazing and more people should give it a listen.

So far, Microsoft's acquisition of Acti-Blizz has resulted in nothing but layoffs after layoffs. One can't help but wonder how such decision was made with such recklessness.

The acquisition didn't even make sense back then, and now, two years later, the whole thing's blowing up in everyone's face.

Just wanna give a shout-out to Endless Space 2 for having intricately designed user interface with a flair for visuals. The world-building is also amazingly detailed and does a lot of heavy-lifting in helping differentiate itself from its contemporaries.

Wish there wasn't so much stigma surrounding mental health discussion. Seeing licensed therapists should be normalized; our tiny human brains are just not equipped for modern society.

Just finished The Good Place by Michael Schur. I knew that this was created by the same people that produced Parks & Rec, so I expected the writing to be just as humorous. What I didn't expect was how philosophical and profound the show could get, and by the end, it got pretty emotional.

This year's Summer Games Fest presentation was really concerned with how few people made a lot of those games, huh?

It feels kinda fucked up. Not just because they're often misrepresntating the real size of these teams, but because I think it's playing directly into a new(ish) flavour of dev hate.

The release of Oblivion Remastered got me thinking about Skyrim again

In many ways, Skyrim is a more accessible version of Oblivion with better dungeon crawling. Quests are not as memorable but if you just want to explore then Skyrim is fantastic at pulling you into its world

Oblivion > Skyrim tho

I went down a rabbit hole into the "physical Switch 2 games cost $90" claim and found a self-feeding cycle of misinformation that speaks to how Google is making us all dumber. www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/no-sw...
The confusion around $90 Switch 2 games proves how broken the internet is
The internet seems to believe that Nintendo Switch 2 games cost $90, but that's not entirely accurate based on what we know.

One unfortunate outcome of the shutdown of Monolith Productions today was the erasure of the studio's website

It's archived back to 1996 and, as of last week, proudly displayed a timeline of Monolith's best work

Today, lith.com redirects to warnerbrosgames.com

Having just finished Mafia 3, I thought the game was fine. It lacks mission variety but, structurally speaking, I didn't find it any more repetitive than GTA V.

Having a game like Mafia 3 that takes a hard stance on racial, social-economic issues is very much appreciated, especially in 2025.

David Lynch's films were a big inspiration for most of my adult life. His style of storytelling was like no other; I really loved Twin Peaks just for how unashamedly zany it is.

I heard he had been ill for while, but this was still sad to hear.

By filling the internet space with AI profiles like what Meta have been doing, I can't help but think that this is another method for these companies to suppress the opinions of real marginalized people while also appropriating human cultures.

As funny as memes about Fortnite are, I do think Fortnite is legitimately one of the greatest video games ever.

The fact that the game offers a little bit of something for everybody and it does those things well is nothing short of an achievement.
