Just got my first job in ecology! Quickscanning and monitoring bats, common swifts and other small animal groups around Groningen to chart their habitats.
The spaces between our red Russian kale (highly recommended kale) have filled with native purple dead nettles (Lamium purpureum) and germander speedwell (Veronica chamaedrys). They attract huge amounts of bees and bumblebees, so we're letting them flower before replanting this plot.

Had my first trip with off-road skates! I hate not being able to skate during the fall and winter, and it shows in my heart rate! These skates are used with Nordic poles, because they lose a lot of speed through friction. In summer I'll be able to use them in the forest as well!

Been working on the mockup for a vegan Victorian inspired winter coat. The finished one will be made from a petrol coloured,wool-touch polyester and a satin Paisley pattern lining.
