I love it here. As an adult and teen, I've lived in the DC suburbs, the Boston suburbs, Chicago, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Oakland, and Toronto, and I love it here so much.

Obamacare is a terrible kludge, but tens of millions of Americans have ordered their and their families' lives on it, and using it as a shiny toy to appease the Sunbed King is so mindbogglingly cruel, small, and cowardly.

That’s a lot of administrative work to swap out for subsidies and this isn’t exactly a government that’s full throated in their belief in government as anything other than a piggy bank to loot.

A cave wouldn't be unprecedented, but this as a concession just seems so outrageously unrealistic that I am inclined to disbelieve any of the reporting that cites it as regime mouthpiece ragebait.

If you have an HSA/FSA, you are employed and overwhelmingly likely to be getting employer health insurance, and thus, not in the population of folks who need the subsidies. This is a GOP staffer saying a bunch of words they don’t care to understand to a friendly media mouthpiece. It’s not real.

But you can get a pair of shoes, even shitty ones, for significantly less than the same quality would have cost you in the past.
