I had to learn to speak andaluz (how people here in Andalucía actually speak). We cut/abbreviate EVERYTHING and race through words. What even *is* enunciation??

(Barcelona has castellano and Catalan, but they’re proud/prefer Catalan.)

I’ve been here a decade. When I arrived, I was like you linguistically: I spoke español. I woulda been better off telling people I didn’t speak Spanish. Castellano is completely different and “ANDALUZ”?!? We are considered the hardest “Spanish” to learn. If you understand us southerners… you good

Málaga is a common choice for expats. There’s a consulate in Fuengirola. I don’t live in Málaga but I do live in Andalucía. I love being in southern España. Bienvenida!
