Flatters to deceive.
One of my songs (Unaware, a chaotic take on the events of 8.12.1980) is due to get a spin on this show. Thank you Neil!

This journeyman guitarist has quite a telling anecdote about the potency of McCartney’s weed. Good session earlier, btw.

Slight difference in response from Ange as S’Kier demeans himself by tetchily telling an MP that she is ‘talking rubbish.’

A casual scroll through my timeline suggests that it's apt to post this song called America by the great Paddy McAloon.

Neil Kinnock, 1983 "I warn you not to be ordinary. I warn you not to be young. I warn you not to fall ill. I warn you not to grow old."

The same warnings apply today ... of a UK Labour Govt. How did it come to this?

Can’t help thinking that the unexploded WW2 bomb in Paris is some kind of metaphor.

Starmer immorally imposing a £6bn aid cut on the globe's poorest, hungriest and sickest to waste extra on a profligate and inefficient MoD isn't going to make Britain or the world safer. Far from it.

And brace for more Channel small boat crossings.

When the UK became part of the European common market in the early 70s, the history teacher insisted that we draw margins measuring 2cm wide in our homework books, instead of the usual ruler’s width of one inch. I estimated, he measured and I got two strokes of the cane.

Well that was quite the pilgrimage. All from the comfort of an armchair too. Maybe there’s something in that Maureen Cleave interview comment.

George obviously prefers the Rickenbacker bass. Paul sticks with the Hofner. He could have said ‘Tell me what you want me to play and I’ll just play it.’

On totp this night in 1969, Marmalade are still no.1 and Leapy Lee, of Little Arrows fame, has a song called Here Comes the Rain. If Paradise by Amen Corner adds the sublime.
