Starting to think that bombarding people with content designed to make them ill-informed, angry, and antisocial for hours upon hours a day has been a real disaster for society and possibly not one we can come back from in our lifetimes

On Friday ICE agents stopped a bus in Albion, NY. They had a list of names, and took 14 people into custody

Those workers—and their employer—happened to be involved in one of the most crucial labor struggles in the state in recent memory

The overwhelming messaging on Covid in media right now is that it’s something that was once very serious, and now is over. And every week, a new waterfall of studies comes out showing the continued and growing long-term health risks of repeated infections. Our language has got to respect that truth.

Sen. Mike Lee has introduced the SCREEN ACT, a bill that applies the "harmful to minors" standard used to ban LGBTQ+ books and resources in schools and libraries... and apply it nationally—to the internet.

Under the guise of protecting kids from "pornography"

Now is a good time to stock up on masks and get used to wearing them again if you stopped. Wear them and be cognizant of how diseases spread. Wear them even if anti-mask legislation passes. Protest that legislation before it does.

Prior to Covid it was normal to mask in the NICU. People understood that premature babies are as vulnerable as they come and need to protected.

Now? Gowns & gloves but no masking.

The damage caused by anti mask rhetoric will be felt for years (possibly decades) to come.

Reminder that Mitt Romney explicitly said the rationale behind the tiktok ban was pro Palestinian content. The renewed push last year was explicitly to help Israel conduct a genocide without scrutiny on social media.

Imperial boomerang in action.

A very common and minor annoyance of being a working artist is that when I'm really proud of something, I can't show it off immediately. Anyway I just made something cool and you'll have to take my word for it

If you’re still masking - thank you.

If you’re cleaning the air - thank you.

If you’re staying home when sick - thank you.

If you realize vulnerable people are just as worthy of safety and survival as everyone else - thank you

If you’ve refused to toss us aside for “back to normal” - thank you.
What an unreal question. “It’s 2025, why haven’t you abandoned disabled and high-risk folks yet?”

“The rest of us all agreed to forget about you in 2021, why haven’t you caught up?”

Social media hasn't felt like a place for genuine connection and keeping up with friends in nearly a decade. I miss that. Fingers crossed this one can scratch that itch 🤞

Or maybe it's just a place I upload cool sunrise pictures, idk
