My new right knee just passed a major test! Well, major in my eyes. Just did a test drive around the block, no issues. Not ready for road trips, but I can get me and my non-driving housemate to doctor/PT appointments and such.

So, how is everyone. I had knee replacement surgery on Thursday. Have already graduated from walker to cane. Looking forward to it being healed. Not looking forward to the healing. :-)

Today is a fairly quiet day for me & my housemates. One is a naturalized citizen who came here as an adult, so he has no family tradition for Thanksgiving. His children and brother are still in Oz. The other (they’re a couple) has family way up in New England and my kid is likewise out of state.

Saw my weight doc this week. I have met my latest goal (am below 220–HUZZAH!) Next goal: 199. Remember that TKR I was hoping for this past March? Yeah. Well. The first one is scheduled for 12/23/24!! A new knee is my Christmas present to me!
