I agree with Klein on principle that it's bad for democracy to think of your opponents as evil but… what happens when they're actually evil? What happens when all they do is lie, cheat, steal, abuse and kill, and take your good faith as a sign of weakness? Debate your way out of it?

I call on my party and my government to remove themselves entirely from X and communicate with the public where they actually participate online and can be protected from such illegality.

I understand that diplomacy has a part to play, but Starmer and Europe need to wake up; Trump isn’t playing by those rules anymore. While we stall for time, he is pressing on. It is only a matter of time until he attacks a NATO ally. We must condemn breach of Intl law and move closer to Europe ASAP.

This approach assumes Trump can be appeased; the evidence suggests otherwise. He is a bully who seeks capitulation, but respects strength. It seems short-termist to me at a time when the UK could be next on DJT’s list after Greenland. All signs point to Europe being a target of the US, not an ally.

If there is no such excuse, they will merely fabricate one as necessary. It is not a giant leap, now, to a US/Europe conflict.

It’s probably worse than that. Clearly the ‘drug trafficking’ angle is a total fabrication, considering he just pardoned Hernández. This is simply an excuse to remove leaders who Trump disagrees with ideologically. Which begs the question, who next? Consider recent criticism of European culture..
