At most universities, a portion of DEI funding is dedicated to programs designed to support the success of first-generation students, or students whose parents did not graduate from college.

I'm going to use "Trump/Elon crowd" instead of "Trump" or "Elon", so as to put the blame squarely where it rests: with all those who voted for this. And those who voted that way secretly without telling anyone, may your consciousness forever haunt you (that is, if you even have one).
