Mass atrocity prevention clearly low on the fed's agenda, but even so, this is surprising malfeasance.
NEW: Every year, the Elie Wiesel Act requires the president to report to Congress on how the government is preventing mass atrocities. This year, that report never came.

In its absence, at least 10 former US federal employees who worked on atrocity prevention released a Shadow Report.

Why would anyone be surprised, except for those who voted for Trump expecting something better?
Something many do not know: The Biden administration engaged in a public and private pressure campaign to compel Netanyahu to reject the ethnic cleansing calls of his far-right allies. It worked. Then Biden lost, the pressure stopped and Trump reversed everything.

Recall this was the case where the administration sent a letter to Harvard saying essentially that we will take over your university, & later said the letter was sent in error-- and let's just forget we ever sent it. Harvard did not go along with forgive and forget. www.nytimes.com/2025/07/21/u...
