The more I research proportional representation, the more I realize that it's the only answer to move forward.
Under proportional representation, MPs and party members have real leverage.

If leadership ignores them, they can break away and still win seats. That pressure keeps parties accountable and responsive.

That’s how democracy should work.

On May 18, 1980, crowds of scientists gathered to study Mount St. Helens, an awakening volcano in Washington State.

While geologists prepared for an eruption at the summit, the North face of the volcano simply blew out without warning, transforming into a churning liquid.

So major lineups at all the gas stations in Ontario. Do people not realize this isn't a fluke price war? It's the removal of the consumer carbon tax. Are people that stupid and out of touch? This is why we can't have nice things.

Gas prices dropped 25 cents overnight with the removal of carbon tax. Where's the "Mark Carney Did This" stickers now??? Just sayin'...

If we give Doug Ford four more years, we’ll regret it long after he’s gone.

If you want real change, go and vote — because I promise you, if you sit this election out, we’ll all pay for it for years to come. #Opinion

My @thestar.com column: Doug Ford has found piles of cash for things like $200 cheques, vehicle registration fee cuts and a growing list of bad deals, but just can’t seem to find money to seriously address the province’s homelessness crisis.

It’s a choice.

Please: Anyone but Doug Ford.

Ford is uniquely unqualified and unsuited to be a leader for this moment. His years in office have been defined by shortages — a lack of homes, doctors, teachers, jobs, skilled workers, subways, buses, and bike lanes. #Opinion

His stunning failure to address the crises in housing, health care, education and more mean he is unfit to lead, writes Justin Ling.
