Seattle counted roughly 39K ballots today, & they broke in favor of Wilson by 11.4%, erasing the entirety of the incumbent's lead.

King County doesn’t have the legal authority to tax businesses, so Super PACs don’t spend millions purchasing seats the way they do in Seattle elections (cf Saka, Rivera, Harrell).

Can you ensure that the city, instead, prioritizes inspection and assessment of vendors preying on our unhoused community by selling predatory cellular service plans in the public right of way? They are common at 3rd & Pike and also the International District.

BOOM. Wilson closes the gap, with many more ballots left. This is a tremendous result for her.
She trails Harrell by just 1.9% and 4,300 votes. There are many more ballots remaining than at this point in the primary count.

Thursday drop. Wilson trails Harrell by 9,908, 5.7%. The gap begins to close.
We are apparently STILL not into a drop box sample yet, or only including some drop box data. There's a TON of votes expected to lean Wilson out there.

My take? @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social is still the favorite.
Until we have Thursday drop data (assuming it is election day dropbox data), we have no good reason to think otherwise, even if we do have reason to FEEL nervous.
