X is not worth 33 billion. He basically just paid himself $33B from another company, presumably to pay off his debts from the initial buy because he knows he'll never be able to raise the capital from X itself.

Relying on courts also filled with appointed, not elected, political agents is a dangerous game. Just because a court said the process is fine doesn’t make it anymore democratic than the unelected billionaire also making his ruling.
