I used to be an RN working in end of life care. Your mom has a day or two to live, and you’re freaking out on me because she’s going to “be addicted to that hydromorphone”? Well yes… she will take it to the end of her life, but that’s called good care. Pain needs to be managed at every and all ages

It feels more like pearl clutching than brow beating, but I’m staying off Reddit for a while. I’m on Vancouver Island in the orange stronghold where diverse opinions can be seen as a form of oppression at times.

No, I’m not interested in a conservative government. Also no, I don’t want to have an MP who isn’t even a part of an official party. Also also no, I’m not interested exactly the same as we’ve had for years now. I just moved and I’m in a new riding, and it’s interesting.

Except Trump uses executive orders and the courts can reverse them. If Pierre uses the not withstanding clause that he promises he will, the Canadian courts cannot change it. It’s even worse!

It’s never going to be comfortable listening to a federal debate where everything is offensive to Quebec. And while I like a lot of what Polievre says about crime, he’s talking about government controlling the courts.

There’s an orange guy who disagrees with you on the adversarial part, and the fault part. The world is weird and words mean very little anymore. We are in a new economic experiment and it’s going to be rough.
