The new bsky policy changes following the Kirk shooting are a great example of how if Jesse's behavior really bothered them they could adjust the rules to ban it. But it doesn't bother them, they haven't banned his behavior, and he stays

And consequentially people are going to keep being upset and this issue will only get worse. To be honest the time spent litigating this is a bigger liability to the site than anything you could have suffered by banning him. But if you wanna keep doing that go nuts man.

You’re sidestepping my question about someone who is a known bigot with a hypothetical about getting yelled at. You know this guy is a cretin and the only reason you seem to be keeping him around is on a technicality or because you don’t wanna cave. I think it is natural for people to be upset.

I don’t know man lot of people have been capriciously banned or suspended for not violating the ToS, it’s clearly less about that and more about a personal point of pride and not letting your user base win. Kinda hard to read it any other way.
There's the substance of the signal issue, and then there's the pattern of behavior that jay was responding to -- the constant, _constant_ off topic responses that make this tedious.

On the substance, it's really just that the guy didn't violate the ToS. I'm sorry, that's just it
