I went to my first Queer Straight Alliance meeting at the school I teach at. The teacher was comforting their students and explaining what was legally happening to them.

I was invited to introduce myself, and I saw several light up as I said, "I use they/them pronouns because I am nonbinary" 🏳️‍🌈

To all the people who stop and think before meeting up with a chronically ill or disabled person, and let them know you/someone in your household isn’t feeling well, so they can cancel if they need to, THANK YOU.

We are SO sad to have to cancel, but so grateful to be protected. #disabilitysky

I remind myself every day that simply getting out of bed and going to my job of teaching children is an act of resistance as a disabled trans person 🏳️‍⚧️
