Sixteen days have passed and despite filing complaints, Google continues to serve up this slop description that claims we've published "AI-generated stories." We've done nothing of the sort. In fact, we've been extremely vocal about our stance on "AI."

Seriously Google? How does your "AI" get "but has also faced criticism for publishing AI-generated stories" from the countless news stories written about us NOT WANTING GENERATED STORIES and actively fighting against them. Oh wait, it's not actually intelligent, is it? Just bullshit all the way down

I talk a lot about how rules of writing aren't rules, they're guidelines. Important to note, those guidelines change over time. Just as language evolves, so does storytelling, and advice that is salient now doesn't necessarily apply to earlier works written for different audiences. The rules change.
