BREAKING: A federal judge reversed National Institutes of Health's terminations of hundreds of critical research grants that were canceled because of their alleged connection to disfavored topics, including diversity, equity, inclusion, and gender identity.

This is a major win for public health.

Good morning -- Friendly reminder that assassinating politicians who were fairly elected to lead their constituents is not preserving democracy or law and order. It's actually undermining the rights and liberties of your fellow Americans. K thx bye

A significant majority of us descend from immigrants who overtook native lands, and America has always been a nation of immigrants, a melding of cultures. The hypocrisy of this extremist bigotry and (white) nationalism should not be lost on any of us. And we must remember that we may be next.
"Note that neither Los Angeles nor the state of California is mentioned in the memorandum. Trump’s mobilization order is in no way limited as to time or place." We are not alarmed enough.

We stan all of the federal employees standing up for science and human rights. It does indeed take courage to face those in positions of power and stand for what's right.
This morning, courageous NIH workers shared a document they are calling the “Bethesda Declaration” with Dr. Bhattacharya, urging him to reverse some of the actions that are badly misaligned with progress toward the NIH mission.

Happy Pride month, all! Way back in 2018 I made these galaxy pride flags. They were shared many thousands of times, featured on Vice, and even made their way onto book covers and into video games.

Here are the original ones I created (in no particular order!) so Bluesky can have them too. 💙
