When I heard him talk about retiring after the LA Olympics, I suddenly felt very very tired.

It’s definitely a bit of a redux of the Obama birtherism whose purpose is to delegitimize, not to uncover some big truth.

To me the fact that his staff is letting him doze off on camera is telling, because it suggests that to them *this* is the best that they can hope for (and they’ve probably seen worse).

I saw Gueule d’amour recently (Lady Killer) and the way he evolves from handsome soldier to broken (and broken down) man in the span of 90 minutes is extraordinary.

Especially since said musician has recently been quite open about mental and physical health challenges over the last decade in the run up to this incident.
