There's been an evolution of the info space under Trump. He/GOP are now living in an entirely false and invented info space, propped up w/ fake polling/data and imagined events to justify their actions. They all live in it; believe it's true; and when confronted w/alternatives they are dismissed.
I don't know what else to say about the Trump regime other than they have grown more confident they can performatively fabricate and lie with impunity and get away with it.
