Trump worked MAGA into an uproar that the Epstein list is a roll call of Democrats to lynch, and now they absolutely will not let it go. Which sucks for him, because he's on it.

Just a wild thought, but if portions of our economy that are critical to public welfare are being ran so poorly that without massive influxes of taxpayer money they will fail, shouldn't the government (and by extension the people) just own them?

The thing to understand about trump supporters is (and I have spoken at length to many of them) is that they don't actually object to anything he's doing. They are just mildly irritated that the negative consequences are also impacting them and not just the people they don't like.
