I couldn't count how many times I've heard creative friends gush about how much a good voice actor has added to their projects, how much they've been crucial to the whole thing in the end.

AI can't do that. It can't understand the words or the characters it's "voicing." It can't understand your intent and has no intent of its own. You need a real actor to do this.

This is a particularly bizarre anxiety to have about a character QUITE FAMOUSLY portrayed by half a dozen actors in 25 films across five decades with no concept of continuity until Craig's run where it made for a compelling change of pace. Cast a new actor! This problem is not real! No one cares!
