Congress did nothing when social media exploded and we’ve all seen the negatives outweigh the positives. We cannot approach AI w/ the same attitude. We cannot encourage energy gluttony, water contamination, pollution, farm and environmental destruction, and corporate socialism to appease oligarchs.
Data centers are important for many reasons BUT consumers should NOT have to pay higher bills to facilitate the huge amounts of electricity they eat up.
The richest companies on the planet are building these centers and they should bear the costs — not you.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.
