Northern lights outside our house in the very south of Ireland tonight.
Lot of light pollution from the seafront road & the houses and the iPhone didn’t do the photos justice, but a lovely, rare & unexpected surprise tonight

Beautiful piece, and it’s only this year I found out that it’s originally a Ukrainian pre-Christian song for New year in March, updated and repurposed by a musician from Pokrovsk in the early 1900’s.
I have always enjoyed it, but I must admit to previously enjoying it in ignorance of its origins.
