The concentration of wealth in the hands of an elite few isn't just bad for our economy. It's corrosive to our democracy.

When the wealthy and well-connected control our political system, the American people don't have a voice.

The result is demagoguery and corruption.

Congress should not let up on contempt for Bondi.

They must bring her b4 committee, under oath.

Except this time when she starts with her CRAP, they must be prepared to have the Sgt. At Arms, put her in cuffs.

Period.

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

In Illinois, ICE agents have been documented swapping license plates to hide their identity. Under Illinois law, this constitutes a Class A misdemeanor.

The state has made clear that this law will be enforced. Federal agents are not exempt from Illinois vehicle and registration statutes.

Please remember that they are trying to make us feel helpless and hopeless. Take everything one step at a time, find the good things in your life and in the world around us.

Comment with your joys and wins and accomplishments. Let’s remind each other that the world isn’t as dark as it may seem.

It's patriotic to protect wolves 🐺

A survey revealed 78% of Americans support continued protections for gray wolves under the ESA - including ranchers, farmers, + rural residents in states with wolf populations.

Americans want wolves protected. So why is Congress trying to remove protections?

This is unethical scientific exploitation through "research" on vulnerable populations that will cause harm and will be written about and taught in ethics courses in years to come. This study would not be approved by any IRB in the US or in Europe. African children deserve better.

NSF is about to dismantle NCAR at Russell Vought's direction to protect the fossil fuel industry. It's hard to communicate just how much NCAR does, so let's take a look: I've never worked at NCAR, and I've worked with NCAR researchers once ever. What scientific discoveries has NCAR made possible? 👇

Average household heating costs are up 9.2% from last year, on top of rising electricity costs.

Meanwhile, Trump gutted a program that helps low-income people heat their homes and is boosting construction of power-hungry AI data centers.

What happened to lowering prices on Day One?

I'm reading some Batman comics. I don't know about any of you but I will probably always hear Kevin Conroy's voice in my head when I read them. The Animated Series and Arkham games had that much impact on me.

Some of the best movies ever made were by Rob Reiner. They made us laugh and think: The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, A Few Good Men. And he was a force on screen as well in All in the Family and so many films.

What a tragic loss. Words fail with news like this.

Remember: The recipe for economic growth isn’t tax cuts for the rich. It’s investment in our people — in health care, infrastructure and education — to build a strong middle class.

You don't grow the economy through trickle-down nonsense.

U.S. military spending is set to hit a record $1 trillion.

Roughly half of defense spending goes to private contractors that routinely price-gouge the government.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon has failed seven straight audits.

This is the military industrial complex on steroids.

Tomorrow, Republicans have a chance to vote to prevent 24 million Americans’ premiums from spiking.

If they really care about affordability, this is the single easiest and most important vote to support. Somehow, I doubt they’ll do it.
