So what's next after today's May Day mobilizations?

March 4th For Democracy fiftyfifty.one
249 years ago, America chose democracy over tyranny. The U.S. was founded to be governed by the consent of all its people, not just a privileged few. That choice stands today. We refuse to allow a dictator to seize power now.

Familiar? After becoming Chancellor of Germany in Jan 1933 Hitler effectively dismantled democracy within a few months, with most key democratic institutions abolished by July 1933, a rapid consolidation of power under his Nazi regime, he systematically took control of all aspects of German society.

Less than a month since a crash that took 67 lives, Trump is firing hundreds of federal employees who inspect and maintain air traffic control communications, radio and computer systems.

This is extremely dangerous and could have deadly consequences.

What do you know about the Tuskegee Airmen? They were the first African American fighter pilots and crew in the US Army Air Corps and fought in WWII. These men were the crème of the crop, many of whom already had bachelor's and master's degrees when they first began flight training in July of 1941.

#economicblackout because actions like this bring attention to economic inequality, corporate greed, and systemic injustices. Even if the immediate financial impact on corps is minimal, social awareness can be significant.

King believed hatred darkens life, while love illuminates it. He believed hatred paralyzes life, while love releases it.

The only way to achieve anything good is through love. People should break the cycle of violence and hatred by refusing to participate in it.
