Wow I just realised I don't actually WANT to make new friends in my mid thirties. There's this weird thing where I've noticed people don't slow down, they don't stop, they don't try to actually know you, they just take what they want from you. I was a fool to assume I wasnt a replaceable fixture.

Oh yeah, I also watched a group of liberals and Robert Dwyer wander about 'canvassing' businesses. I say canvas, but really they walked in and went "ahh g'day so and so, how ya been mate?" So I guess it was more a "I can count on your support yeah, old mate? Like it's been for yonks?" -
