I kinda agree, but my number one takeaway is that every adult in US should speak up and tell the current administration to sit TF down…

The EU should in fact counter with a polite demand that the US should agree to follow EU laws and rules of fair and decent behaviour if they wish to continue trading with us.

What should we learn from this? The welfare state is part of the national defense, even though some may not realize it.
That's why we shouldn't cut social security, especially not during times like this. That isn't sustainable, and as Janne has said, could lead to pro-Kremlin parties taking power.

And at least my reading of history had convinced me that the ancient rules of thumb remain relevant as ever: divide et impera works very well, and we still haven’t seen defences that couldn’t be penetrated by an ass laden with a bag of gold.
