After a few months of getting our flippers wet, we realized something: Gander is a bit of an odd duck in tech, especially in how it gets built and supported.

Great news, everyone! Looks like Ireland is making their Basic Income for Artists program permanent! This is after a recent public consultation that showed 97% support for the program.

In this clip, I cover the recent Philly experiment that finally tested housing vouchers against cash in a randomized controlled trial. The monthly basic income was almost 4x as effective at reducing homelessness in 18 months, dropping it by 67% compared to 19%.
1 in 4 vouchers weren't even usable.

This is HUGE basic income news if Thailand actually does implement a Negative Income Tax in 2027. They could be the first country with a NIT. I don't see any details yet in terms of amount and phaseout rate but if they set the threshold at 60k baht and set 50% rate, poverty could drop by up to 90%.
