Slinky Cat is snoring and the 1812 overture has been in full swing since dawn. Duck hunting season is off. So, my farm will be full of slightly dazed but smug ducks for a month or two as they enjoy their local haven.

i'm a grandchild of four holocaust survivors. all four of my grandparents were in the camps and lost their families and communities to the gas chambers. how am i not supposed to take this as a direct threat to my life and those of my family and community? it's us or them, folks.

Today I needed the fire extinguisher in my car for the first time ever. Because it was immediately within reach I didn't lose my car, my motorbike, my house, or my life.
I never needed it for 35 years but in the moment of an unexpected fire? I was so lucky it was there.

The River was beautiful today. Children leaping from the cliffs, reggae music, and that blue-green water lifted my heart. Several watched over the leaping kids, yelling to them when the path for their leap from the cliffs was clear.

It's not that hard. If I want to include a song lyric in my book, I have to pay whatever the copyright holder asks for. Otherwise, I can't include it. This should be the same. Ask permission. Ask how much I want for those rights. If you can't or won't pay that amount, don't use it.

It's not that hard. If I want to include a song lyric in my book, I have to pay whatever the copyright holder asks for. Otherwise, I can't include it. This should be the same. Ask permission. Ask how much I want for those rights. If you can't or won't pay that amount, don't use it.
