All the hate around S*lver E*ite makes me nervous bc it was my BOTM pick lol. I knew nothing about it but had to pick something in order to get the add-on I wanted (plus it's my birthday month so freebie). Ugh. Sometimes it was nice not being so active in the online book community lol 😆

As I approach my 30th birthday next month, I find myself thinking of my cat, Cleo, who I've had since I was 18. She is an absolute spitfire. It's wild to think she has been with me my entire adult life. I found her 4 months after graduating high school, and now I have a mortgage 😆

I'm really terrible at finishing series (even when I'm loving them) and I just finished a fantastic first book in a duology and I'm "forcing" myself to start the second book, otherwise I know I'll put it off for too long lmfao 🙃 why am I like this

I really need to stay off FB because the amount of stupid, hypocritical political posts I see actually makes my blood pressure rise. On one hand, I want to comment, on the other hand, I've been down that road & it never seems to change anyone's minds.

The amount of people I see asking "where is the fantasy without all the romance?!?!?!?!?! 😢😢😭🥺" is astounding to me. I primarily read romance novels of all sub-genres and am still aware of a ton of non-romantasy authors.
Thinkpieces on "Where have all the non-romance fantasy gone?" are deeply funny to me. My bro, walk into a bookstore? Look up Tor, Orbit, Voyager, etc's upcoming lists of titles? Do a 2 second google search?
Fantasy without romance and sex has always been here and will continue to be. Chill.

I've read 25 books do far this year (which is far more than where I'd usually be), but I think it's because I've sought out super angsty books. I thrive in the angst, it seems.

Got some more bloodwork for my cat done this morning for her ovarian remnant syndrome (allegedly). If her results come back negative (which I think they will bc they did the first time), it'll be no surgery and just monitoring her from here on out! That's the best news, but I'm also confused as
