Love Nature, Wildlife, British/European Social History/Politics/Culture/Heritage and Books both fiction and nonfiction.
Important read for all of those MP's who voted to ditch public & #environmental NGO's supported Lords proposals to further protect our #rivers and #wildlife to mull over and give their consciences a very serious wobble.

It's really time for some positive action to be taken on this on behalf of your constituents don't you think @neilduncanjordan.bsky.social @jessicatoale.bsky.social & #TalkTo @tomhayesmp.bsky.social ?

This act is deplorable anywhere but it really does hit a note here in #Dorset where we have local authorities and numerous NGO's & Charities working so hard to protect and help #nature & #wildlife to flourish.

I shall be watching this with keen interest 👏
By turning Erlin Farm, Millhams Mead and Solent Meads into #habitat banks, @bcpcouncil.bsky.social can keep funding local and invest it in better #green spaces for #nature and people.

Whilst I welcome the £200 Winter Fuel Allowance @neilduncanjordan.bsky.social it's still going to be a juggling act to make ends meet with the cost of living far out weighing any comfort the #WFA is meant to bring. I'm 73 and it's going to be the bleakest Winter / Christmas in my own living memory.

Here's yet another thing my #Creekmoor Councillors probably won't share on Social Media with their local #community .... unless of course it's with a lazy bones RT of this post as is the usual case on other platforms I post on.

#Wessex #Water and #Ofwat said the deal would mean the money would be used for the benefit of its customers and the local environment, rather than going to HM Treasury.
None of the sum will be paid by customers or added to bills, Ofwat said.

#Labour Peers obliged to obey a 3 line whip to vote against #Swift Bricks

Let's hope that you do so much better!
Last night, Peers voted against Swift bricks: rejecting a simple, proven way to help one of our fastest declining birds recover. ❌

We share @hannahbournetaylor.bsky.social's disappointment & frustration.

The vote came late, but with government refusing to back it, its fate was already sealed.
