What a late-season dormouse boom at Powerstock Common nature reserve! 🙌Over the last two months our ecology team found almost 50 dormice in our monitoring boxes across the site, including a couple of late-season breeding females.

Our Species of the Month for November is turkeytail fungus! 🍄The turkeytail is a very colourful bracket fungus that is at its best in the autumn. Its circular caps can be seen growing in tiers on trees and dead wood. Find out more and report your sightings here 👉 bit.ly/3cHL9FB ~ Jack

The Ladybird Spider is gorgeous! It was thought to be extinct, until it was rediscovered in Dorset. It's so endangered in the UK that it's possible to count each individual spider! I also love the Toadstool jumper. 🍄🐞🕷️
