It's so funny being a diehard for the Democrats no matter what. It's like being a fan of Live Nation.

Joe Biden spent significant portions of his career trying to bolster policing and jailing for poor people and minorities. Pardoning his son is both foolish and incredibly selfish, and is a gift to the right wing. Dems need to be running away from elitism, not embodying it so brazenly

The logic of neoliberalism includes the idea that the only function of government is to protect the free market and private property.

It’s not contradictory that the only thing they want to fund is military and police and the intelligence agencies. It’s explicitly part of what neoliberalism is.

25 and 35% tariffs on trading partners that add up to 41% of our total trade, plus hundreds of thousands of low wage workers, many in agriculture, being removed from the country by force. Is Trump an accelerationist?

This is one of the most important things Dems need to take away from this election. Not only are you surrendering every narrative and playing defense constantly, you also look inauthentic and weak.
Democrats will often look at something that doesn’t poll well and think “oh no, better move away from that!” but they’re getting their role backwards. parties influence public opinion. if you’re purely reactive, you’re just letting the GOP frame every debate.
the lesson of the election isn’t “we should give up on trans rights,” it’s that the GOP took an issue that negatively impacted almost no one and made it a headliner. why would it help to surrender on an issue if they can create a grievance from thin air?

America's attitudes toward criminal justice are inextricably tied to crime shows and the fact that a lot of people (generally those with conservative/authoritarian attitudes) are unable to tell the difference between fiction and real life
The fact that Americans love cop shows that reinforce every dumb and bad thing about American policing and those shows are broadly written by libs is such a missed opportunity
it's so funny when you can tell what headline the writer room read last was

Democrats need to realign their vision if they want any chance at recapturing working class voters. Dangling focus group carrots-on-sticks will not work, you need a wide-reaching and materialist agenda that resonates with all Americans. Keeping the donor class happy cannot continue being priority #1
