Should I introduce myself in the new place? Hi! Tanachvil, (pron. tah-nahk-ville, rhymes with anvil) Italian, old crone, I sell books and tell tales. I mostly write in English but I can speak Spanish and French as well (and Italian, duh). Leftist, queer, antifascist and very angry at stuff.

I am a HORRIBLE translator. My mind kinda switches to the language I'm using and I am terrible at transporting words and meanings to one side to the other of the semantics river. Despite all that I am VERY good at spotting translating mistakes nearly 100% accurate at spotting AI and I hate it.

Stupid rookie mistake and now I pay the price in sensory overload: tested a perfume, liked it, got a sample and said "Let's use this one today! And since we loved the tester, why don't we DOUSE ourselves in it?" Sigh. Will I ever learn? (Yes, spectrum-adjacent and stupid here)

Waiting for a song on the radio, for the right moment to press record and get it on cassette. And the same for video recording movies and series on tv, pausing for commercials and hitting just the right second to resume and not waste tape. (I still have all those tapes, but no way to watch/listen)
Dial up internet & my mum shouting at me to get off the line so she could call her friends.
My nan still had a rotary phone (a really satisfying landline phone to use).
Being allowed to get lost outside as long as I was back by dark (the one time I got lost and wasn't made me never do it again 🫠)

Ouuuff... my mix of neurofunky stuff makes me VERY sensitive to noise. Especially loud and sudden noise. And now I have nausea and a pounding headache because a guy dropped a bean can beside me at the supermarket. But I obviously fake it all for clout.

Morning started with mom(82) falling and luckily she's OK, but I kind hurt my back picking her up. Then I went to a funeral and felt impotent and sad. Then my parent's cat disappeared and I spent 2hrs looking for her under the midday Italian sun. She was hiding in a closet. I now have to go to work

Y'all scared me with "Ooh getting tattooed is painful!" and it feels a bit like when you have a burn and keep scratching it. Non pleasant (well, not unpleasant either, but my signals are all mixed up) but really not bad at all. White ink burns a bit, that is true.
