Safe or not, I don't have a choice.
Staying off the other site for now, because the anti-campaign running against this fundraiser is exhausting.

Hey… so this came up recently… the Queen City Improvement Bureau's 10th anniversary is this Halloween. Would you consider going to a live Halloween-adjacent live show if we did one? Would you consider paying to attend such a thing to help us cover the cost of renting the venue?

Honest question that doesn't feel safe to ask on Twitter.
I have to decide how hard to fight this lawsuit from Kevin Doherty, which demands punitive shutdown of my public commentary: socials, podcast and Substack.
Do I have the support for a GoFundMe for legal?
5y ago, no worries.
Today? I'm unsure.

This is one of the medias Saskatchewan's former, long-time Sask Party Cabinet Minister Kevin Doherty has sued to have removed from the internet: becauseitwassaskatchewaninthe90s.substack.com
It may need to go dark, but not now and it won't be forever.
Meantime, get in there and check it out.

All this breathless talk about critical and rare earth minerals in Saskatchewan - what does it actually mean?
This industry really doesn't exist in Canada or anywhere except China.

Question, Ryan: I used to live up by Nipawin. I understood this disaster somewhat started up there, by a farm that just let their boars go. Is it not totally normal for boar to found up there anymore?

Municipalities in Saskatchewan - across Saskatchewan - have been donating to the Sask Party for years.
So has the Sask Teachers' Federation and more than a few unions.
Pointing out all of this has earned me nothing more than the ire of this entire fucking province.
But sure Kate, brag about it.

I would have no problem with that as most of her issues were being manipulated by others and having to handle others who were problematic. She started well, it got all messed up, but she'd steered it clear and safe in the end. It was a learning curve. But at least Nelson & Bresciani are gone.

Yes, but... that's still not ideal.
I genuinely believe Masters would have been granted a second term by many if not most Regina voters if she was a man.
Keep in mind that virtually every voter on these social media platforms is not "many if not most" - you are an anomaly who pays attention.

This photo from Mandryk's column - in which he casually dropped the bombshell (Jason Wall) he'd been hiding - of Regina's new mayor, on the night he won, just blew my mind.

Again - in Regina I would have voted Sandra Masters over this:

Help me out Regina.
Do you know what it takes to even be in management at a Crown Corp under a Sask Party government in 2024?
If you voted for him, cool. Own it, but spare me any willfull blindness over the very obvious issues with this kid.
Chad works for the Sask Party government. If he ever wants to work again, he's going to need to keep them happy. How and why are we seeing that differently?
November 15, 2024 at 2:11 PM
I'm going to be deadass honest/unpopular here too - Sandra Masters sucked, but given the choices on that ballot, she should have been given another term.
Had she been a Shawn Masters, I'm 99% positive she would have received it.
Instead yqr voters opted to gamble on Chad from 98°.
I don't get it.
Thanks. He really does sound like a Chad. That's sad for Regina. I would have thought people who voted against Moe in the last election would like a more progressive Mayor, like Saskatoon did. I hope the councilors voted in are at least better than the last ones were in Regina.

Chad boasted on his really weak campaign website that his knowledge of construction contracts was his greatest strength going into the mayor's job.
Chad had better stay TF out of the City of Regina's construction contract procurement.
You're in trouble, still, Regina.
Chad supports the same things. Masters has let others (like Bresciani) delay, sabotage & balloon costs. Was taking control back, but too late. Some felt a SaskEnergy mechanical engineer project management who manages multi-million-dollar projects, & operating & major capital budgets would be better.
