Overall Wicked: For Good was fine. Jeff Goldblum butchered my favourite song, which was disappointing but expected. The costumes were worth seeing the movie for, as were the vocals of the 2 leading ladies (Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande). But it was Grande's eyelashes that stole the show.

Cis men have never needed an excuse to enter women's spaces to harass and abuse us. But now they are now doing so in the name of removing women who they have decided don't look 'feminine' enough. Anti-trans rhetoric and laws have not protected any woman.

Gender dysphoria is not a 'mental illness', but if that's your reason for not treating trans people with basic respect, remember that 1 in 4 people experience mental health issues, so are you treating them abhorrently too?

Anyone who thinks that being trans is a choice should spend 5 minutes reading the hate that is directed at them - no one would choose a life of pain, harassment, disbelief, being refused medical care, etc if they could live with the alternative (ie pretending to be cis).

Just started reading Sunrise on the Reaping. I am enjoying it, but finding the parallels and links to the past (The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) and the future (The Hunger Games) a little heavy handed, as if we need to be drip-fed constant reminders that all those in District 12 are connected.

Anyone else with M.E getting frustrated at the influx of Long Covid recovery stories, that almost always seem to focus on exercising their way out of it? While not everyone with L.C has M.E the two are often linked.
