Talk to me about better transit, clean air, clean oceans, more trees, leaders who do things, and hope. Oh and about New Jersey!

Yesterday we honored victims of traffic violence in Jersey City, NJ as part of the Word Day of Remembrance.

Traffic violence in NJ has claimed more than 500 lives this year. These deaths are preventable. @familiesforsafestreets.org

1. Brooklyn didn't go up more per capita than Bronx, Queens, and State Island. Only Manhattan has been able to slow the process.

2. There was a very big increase in 2 car households during the pandemic and after. I think this could be a big contributor

Yeah - it's nuts, and here's a picture where a truck has stopped illegally for deliveries - it's often the case that all the corners have vehicles illegally parked. One solution here would be loading zones and 15 minute parking meters. With no other parking allowed.

I'm going to be hanging out here this afternoon - supporting Katie B. for district 32, come say hi and hear about Katie's great positions and record on all things transit!

Disappointing to hear all of the democratic primary candidates for district 31 supporting the turnpike expansion. They represent the area in red, with the worst air quality in NJ and Jersey City. They are selling the expansion as jobs for their community, but in exchange we get asthma and disease.

NJ is having a primary right now - and there are still a lot of candidates who are staying quiet or supporting the Turnpike Expansion.

This is an $11B project to DOUBLE the size of a highway. The next governor will decide if this is how NJ residents money should be spent.

Hey NJ peeps - I know you care! Call Senator Booker and tell him to vote no. It takes 5 min. He's always moderating, and this is a FU to NJ voters. He can't cooperate with the Trump administration and not pay a price. We'll need to primary him if he doesn't start acting in our best interests.

The Gov. Murphy insists on widening the highway for the 8 miles leading into the Holland Tunnel. The Turnpike never accounted for Congestion Pricing in their projections, despite objections that were raised.

Look, Governor - people are driving less - we don't need a highway expansion after all.

Everyone is against congestion pricing at the beginning, because they don't understand the benefit. That's why data is used to inform good policy. The actual problem is NJ politicians prefer to gain popularity rather than sell a good idea.
