Thinking about how we've come to find ourselves in this mess.

Ever since Trump's disgusting behavior towards the female, Bloomberg journalist while on Air Force One was revealed in the news, this one thing has constantly been on my mind.
ICE will push their unconstitutional behavior only as far as we allow them to. Remember these brownshirt-style tactics next November and vote accordingly.
On Dec. 4, DOJ labeled people who impede or "dox" ICE agents "domestic terrorists." I document how DHS believes following, recording, and protesting agents is "impeding," and has a policy of threatening & arresting ICE observers. That's unconstitutional. www.cato.org/blog/dhs-pol...

The mRNA Covid vaccines don't need a damn "black box" warning label on them; their empirical safety record is excellent. Instead, the thing with a screaming need for a black box warning label is RFK Jr. One should be permanently tattooed on his forehead.

Health Experts Slam Possible FDA ‘Black Box’ Warning for COVID Vaccines
The FDA is reportedly considering the addition of high-level warning labels to COVID vaccines, a move that some experts say may cause unfounded concerns over safety

Incoming threats from Trump to cut Colorado federal funding if they don't publicly announce they're springing her in 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . .

Trump's really been working overtime to erase and delegitimize consequences for the J6 insurrection and other attempts to subvert the 2020 election results.
President Donald Trump claimed Thursday that he has issued a “full pardon” to Tina Peters — the Colorado election denier serving a nine-year state sentence — even though presidents have no constitutional authority to pardon state-level crimes. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

He's slipping. Surely it's 600%, 1000% . . . maybe even more. Nobody's ever seen anything like it. Just incredibly big and very cool. Much intelligence.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Likely just one reason this pathetic kook is doing this: he's broke, broke, broke. Running for a major office is a time-honored way for corrupt elements to funnel corrupt candidates serious $ via dark money donations. I guess he's owed a few favors for his 2020 election subversion attempts.

WSJ has an interesting visual on Trump's pardons, and I'm glad for the increased focus.

One thing that's missing, IMO, is a focus on who is harmed by these pardons.

This is good stuff.
just riffing on this, in 1944 my grandad's friend Paddy, who would go on to become a very distinguished writer, kidnapped a German general in occupied Crete and took him up into the mountains with a resistance team, from where he was sent on to the UK by submarine. Now, up in the mountains ...

So many scandals now but pay attention to this: DOJ has sued 14 states-12 led by Dems-to demand full unredacted voter files in order to turbocharge Trump voter suppression plans

@abbyvesoulis.bsky.social & I detail threat this poses to voting rights ahead of 2026 www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Trump’s DOJ is building a voter purge machine—powered by your private data
The federal agency ordinarily would prevent attacks on voting rights. Now it’s carrying them out.

Nice to see the slimy senator get hoisted with his own petard by Berman in this exchange.

Fair to suspect that, given the chance, Cotton would counsel Trump to have NG troops fire live rounds on U.S. citizens on the flimsiest, most brazen of pretexts. He is salivating for a Kent State-like redux.
BERMAN: Would it be legal for police in Arkansas to kill suspected drug dealers on a boat in a lake?

TOM COTTON: The premise of your question is not well-founded

BERMAN: The answer is no. It would not be legal to kill them.
December 5, 2025 at 4:14 PM
"I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat, loaded with drugs bound for the [U.S.], back over so they could stay in the fight," said Tom Cotton.

Cotton must think Ed Gallagher is a swell guy. Those men were never "in a fight"🙄 Criminals, yes. Combatants, no.

Senator your weasel words are shameful.

They're stupid, but I'll give Trump lickers credit for one thing: They really know how to poke the hornets' nest.

Must be "distraction o'clock" again.

Grandpa really needs to take this act on the road—permanently. And by that, I mean the retirement home circuit in Palm Beach.
Trump on Tim Walz: "I think the man is a grossly incompetent man. I thought that from the day I watched JD destroy him in the debate. I was saying, 'Who's more incompetent, that man or my man?' I had a man and he had a man. They were both incompetent."

Great development. I don't know if Trump's DOJ appeals further or tries another corrupt end-around, but Habba's already been on the legal stage in New Jersey for about nine months too long.

"It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and aced it."

Sure, Jan.
Reporter: Governor Walz called for the release of your MRI results

Trump: They were perfect like my phone call where I got impeached.

Reporter: Can you tell us what they were looking at?

Trump: I have no idea. It was just an MRI. It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and aced it.

When you've thoroughly lost Goldsmith on the limits of executive power . . .

When does Trump pardon Hegseth and those directly or closely involved? Otherwise, they're all on borrowed time as war criminals and murderers.
Harvard Law School’s Jack Goldsmith:

“In short, if the Post’s facts are correct, it appears that Special Operations Forces committed murder when the ‘two men were blown apart in the water, as the Post put it.’”

The journalists should do a collective "boo" or "shame" every time he does that.

Trump and his lackeys can either throw a tantrum and kick out the whole group or he can stop doing that shit because of how embarrassing it is to have an entire room call him out live on camera.

This is a deeply unprofessional and illegal partisan statement from the Trump hack who's currently director of the CIA.

It's also deeply dishonest, because the decision to grant the shooter asylum here was made by the Trump administration.

I miss my dad. I would have really strong coffee on. I’d be sautéing shallots and celery in butter, pulling the trays of bread cubes I’d been drying from the oven, gathering more and more of my stock, lots of sage, making the stuffing.
